Yoga CD

yoga cd

Yoga CD's are a great way to either train with, or relax after training. On a typical yoga CD, you'll hear what many refer to as 'New Age' music. This can be anything from cool, soothing music, to sounds of nature, to music with a more international flavor. Any of these sounds can be extremely beneficial to your yoga workout. Simply let the yoga CD play softly in the background of your yoga class or at home by yourself. During the session, you will find yourself much more focused on your postures and less distracted by outside noises.

Yoga CD's are also a great way to relax and/or meditate after a strenuous routine. Soothing background music can calm the mind which allows you to regroup and prepare for your daily routine in a much more positive way.

There are even some yoga CD's which take relaxation a step further by introducing sounds that stimulate the brain's natural alpha and theta waves. These stimulations help produce a meditative state of mind. There is nothing fundamentally dangerous about these natural stimulations, however, some experience with meditation should be sought prior to listening to these types of CD's.
